An art form, quietly, since I was small.
My name is Kyro Reid, and KyroAtelier is a studio I founded at the age of twenty, but the work behind it began long before that.
From as far back as I can remember, art was the language spoken in our home. My mum and I would sit for hours at the kitchen table, drawing and painting together. She never told me to be careful with the colours; she told me to feel them. That quiet, patient practice, one image, one layer, one afternoon at a time, is the same rhythm I now bring to every wall I touch.
At seventeen I began training as a traditional plasterer. It's a discipline that teaches you humility very quickly: there is no faking a flat wall, no shortcut past a straight edge. For three years I studied surface, movement, and light through the eyes of an old craft. That grounding, the muscle memory of the trowel and the honest architecture of a wall, is the foundation KyroAtelier is built on.
But I always dreamed of the other side of the trade: interior design, atmosphere, the way a room can hold you. Venetian polished plaster was the moment those two worlds met: an Italian tradition, applied by hand, that turns a wall into a piece of art. Once I understood it, I couldn't stop. KyroAtelier is what happened next.
Today the studio creates bespoke decorative surfaces for private homes, hotels and architectural interiors. Every finish is mixed, tinted and troweled by hand. No two walls are ever the same. It's still just me, my trowel and a very long apprenticeship to a craft I intend to keep learning from for the rest of my life.

It represents a commitment to never stop learning, evolving, and perfecting the art of decorative finishes.
ATELIER is the French word for an artist’s studio or workshop, a place where imagination, craftsmanship, and technical expertise come together to create something truly exceptional. Historically, an atelier was where master artisans transformed raw materials into timeless works of art, with every detail carefully considered and every creation made with intention.
