These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and any services commissioned from KyroAtelier — operated by KYRO REID trading as KyroAtelier, based in Surrey, United Kingdom. By using this website you agree to these terms.
1. About us
- Business name: KyroAtelier
- Proprietor: KYRO REID
- Telephone: 07500 935657
- Email: KyroAtelier@outlook.com
2. Website use
You may use this website for personal, non-commercial reference only. You agree not to use this website in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful, or to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it. We may withdraw or modify the website (or any part of it) without notice.
3. Quotations and commissions
- All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.
- Quotations are based on the information supplied by you and the site conditions we observe on consultation. Material changes to scope may result in a revised quotation.
- A booking is confirmed only once a deposit (typically 30%) has been received in cleared funds.
- Bespoke sample boards, colour matching and additional finish trials are chargeable and are quoted separately.
4. Site conditions and preparation
Venetian polished plaster requires a sound, dry substrate. Unless expressly included in the quotation, remedial works to walls, damp treatment, structural repairs, decorating and the protection of adjacent surfaces are the client's responsibility. We reserve the right to pause or reschedule work if site conditions are unsuitable.
5. Access, utilities and working hours
The client agrees to provide safe, unobstructed access to the working area, running water, electricity, adequate lighting, and reasonable welfare facilities. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:30, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. Payment
- Deposit: typically 30% on booking to secure the studio's schedule and order materials.
- Interim payment: agreed against project milestones for larger commissions.
- Final balance: payable within 7 days of practical completion by bank transfer.
- Late payment: statutory interest and reasonable recovery costs may be charged under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.
7. Cancellation and postponement
Cancellations made more than 14 days before the scheduled start date will receive a refund of the deposit less any bespoke materials already ordered and studio time already committed. Cancellations made within 14 days may result in the deposit being retained. Consumer statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 are unaffected.
8. Nature of a handcrafted finish
Every KyroAtelier finish is applied by hand from natural mineral materials. Colour, tonal variation, movement and texture are inherent characteristics of the craft — not defects. You will be invited to sign off a sample board before application; the completed wall will reflect the character of that sample within the reasonable tolerances of a natural, hand-troweled surface.
9. Warranty and aftercare
We warrant our workmanship for a period of 12 months from practical completion, subject to reasonable use and the aftercare guidance we provide. This warranty does not cover damage caused by building movement, water ingress, third-party works, cleaning with abrasive or chemical products, or normal wear and tear.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability under any commission is limited to the price paid for the services in question.
11. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, imagery, sample boards and the studio's bespoke finish names — is owned by KyroAtelier. You may not reproduce, republish or use it commercially without our prior written consent. Photographs of completed commissions may be used in the studio's portfolio; if you would prefer otherwise, please let us know in writing.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the point you commission the studio applies to that commission.
